Connecticut Woman Dies in Apartment Blaze

Residents in the first floor apartment were able to get out OK, but one firefighter suffered minor injuries.

NEW BRITAIN, Conn. --

A woman died after a six-family home in New Britain went up in flames Friday morning.

The fire broke out just before 9 a.m. at 105 Glen Street.

Fire officials said the fire started in a third-floor apartment.

Residents in the first floor apartment were able to get out OK, but one firefighter suffered minor injuries.

Firefighters believe the third floor is destroyed.

There is no word on the victims identity.
