Third-Alarm Fire Rips Through Strip of Businesses in New Jersey

A third-alarm fire is burning through a strip of businesses in North Brunswick, N.J. Newscopter Seven with John Delgiorno was live over scene.

(New Brunswick-WABC, September 8, 2005) - A third-alarm fire is burning through a strip of businesses in North Brunswick, N.J. Newscopter Seven with John Delgiorno was live over scene.

The fire is believed to have started in a vacant business on the 800 block of Livingston Avenue just after five o'clock this morning. The business, a bar called the Lamp Post, has been closed for several years.

Firefighters were trying to keep the flames from spreading to other businesses and a house next door.

No injuries were immediately reported. Livingston Avenue was closed as firefighters battled the blaze.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
