Three workers were treated for smoke inhalation Monday afternoon after a chemical fire.
Firefighters were called to Web Products, which makes furnace filters, at 3155 Terrace St. Investigators said the blaze started in a spray-paint booth and spread toward 55-gallon drums of a chemical that is similar to gasoline.
"It appeared to our interior crews that the drums were in a dangerous condition, and we've got one or two other chemicals that also were involved -- that resulted in respiratory problems for workers inside the building," Fire Chief Smokey Dyer said.
Crews doused the flames and sprinklers in the building helped cool down the chemical drums.
