SEATTLE --

Firefighters knocked down a fire at a Queen Anne home Monday morning hours after they put out a blaze at the same home the night before.

Neighbors said flames shot from the roof of the home in the 500 block of West Smith Street at about 7 a.m.

"There was quite a bit of flames coming out of the roof. They were coming 20 feet tall," said Charlie Bigger, a neighbor.

Firefighters were called to the same home for a report of smoke in the basement at about 11 p.m. Sunday.

There was no immediate information on what caused either fire.
