A Providence firefighter collapsed while fighting a fire early Friday morning.
Crews were called to a home on Ralph Street at about 2 a.m.
Firefighters found smoke coming from the first-floor kitchen.
The firefighter is listed in critical condition at Rhode Island Hospital.
His family has been notified and is at the hospital Two people in the home also required medical attention.
