Tanker Overturns in New York City
NEW YORK -- A tanker truck overturned in the South Ozone Park section of Queens this morning.
The tanker overturned on the ramp from westbound North Conduit Avenue onto the northbound Van Wyck Expressway.
Heavy flames and thick black smoke were seen spewing from the overturned tanker.
No injuries were immediately reported.
The westbound North Conduit Avenue was closed at the Van Wyck Expressway. Lanes were not closed on the Belt Parkway or the Van Wyck Expressway.
None of Kennedy Airport's operations, including the AirTrain, were affected.
