Firefighters are used to receiving calls about rescuing animals from trees, but they could have never imagined having seen what walked through their doors Tuesday morning, KPRC Local 2 reported.
Images: Longhorn Bull Checks Out Fire StationA longhorn bull that escaped from a stable located behind Fire Station No. 23, located on Lawndale Street and Broadway Street, walked into the station at about 2 a.m.
Firefighters said the bull walked in through the station's open garage doors and took a tour.
Houston Police Officer Frank Coronado said the bull was not cooperative at first.
"He didn't want to stay put," Coronado said as he laughed. "He kept wanting to run and we were trying to block him in without hitting him. We didn't want to hurt the cow."
The bull was transported to the Harris County Livestock Office in Humble.
No injuries were reported.
