Plumbers working with a blowtorch triggered a fire at an apartment building in Vienna Tuesday afternoon, investigators said.

All six units at the Vienna Park Apartments at 150 Patrick Street were damaged by the three-alarm fire, forcing 18 people out of their homes. The Red Cross is helping them find a new place to live.

Firefighters needed about 90 minutes to extinguish the blaze.

No one was hurt.
