Authorities believe an oven may have caused a fire that killed two toddlers and a teenager Tuesday morning outside Utica.
Charles "CJ" Brown and Izzabella Sievers, both three, and 18-year-old Angel Love McGriggs were cousins. A neighbor reported seeing smoke coming from the home where McGriggs was babysitting the children.
Hinds County Coroner Sharon Grisham-Stewart said Brown lived at the double-wide mobile home on Adams Station Road and the other two victims lived nearby.
Authorities are investigating whether an oven left on to heat the mobile home caused the fire.
Firefighters found the bodies in a bedroom near the front of the mobile home.
The smallest child, probably the girl, was in bed. The bigger toddler was at the head of the bed. McGriggs was lying face down on the floor.
Autopsies will be performed on Wednesday to determine the exact cause of death.
