MILWAUKEE --

A chain-reaction crash sent a car into a northwest side fire station Thursday afternoon, killing the car's driver.

Tiffany Wynn, a representative for the Milwaukee Fire Department, said a man was killed in the crash at about 5 p.m.

No fire department personnel were injured.

Wynn said a speeding car hit a second vehicle, sending it into the fire station.

The station near North Teutonia Avenue and West Locust Street is home to Ladder Truck 12 and Engine 30, which was damaged and inoperable.

The victim has not been identified and there was no word on the cause of the accident.
