Fire investigators will try to figure out what sparked a two-alarm high-rise blaze in Germantown on Christmas Day.

The fire forced all of the residents and visitors out of their homes at the Four Freedoms House, a residence for senior citizens.

People who live in the building say smoke started pouring out of the 11th floor windows around 4 p.m.

A small dog died in the fire and at least two people were hurt.

One of those victims remains hospitalized Tuesday morning.

All of the residents expect four people were allowed to return.
