Two California Firefighters Hurt at Fire

Two firefighters were injured Sunday fighting an apartment fire in Middle Town, NBC 7/39 reported.

The two-alarm blaze broke out at about 6 a.m. on the 3600 block of India Street.

One firefighter was hit by a catering truck, and the other had debris in his eye, officials said.

The damage from the fire was estimated at $500,000.

San Diego police said a SigAlert was in effect as India Street was closed between Vine Street and Chaumers.

There is no word on what caused of the fire.
