Over Thirty Firefighters Needed To Fight Ohio Food Flavoring Plant Blaze

The fire started in a spray dryer

Almost three dozen firefighters brought a blaze at a food flavoring plant under control within an hour Thursday night, officials said.

The fire started at about 10:30 p.m. in a spray dryer at Givaudan Flavoring Company .

The blaze was confined to the dryer, which was making tropical flavoring concentrate, and no chemicals were released into the air, officials said.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. So far, an estimate of the damage has not been released.
