Firefighters Rescue Woman from Pennsylvania Apartment Fire

At least 40 fire and rescue crews responded to the blaze in North Union Twp.

NORTH UNION, Pa. --

At least 40 fire and rescue crews responded to a blaze at the Harris Garden Apartments in North Union Twp. Friday night just before 8 o'clock.

Firefighters were able to rescue one woman who was trapped inside her apartment.

She was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

It took firefighters nearly two hours to bring the blaze under control.

More than 20 families lived in the apartment building, many of whom will have to find temporary housing due to smoke and water damage to their apartments.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
