SPRINGDALE, Ohio --

A fire in Springdale brought firefighters from three departments to help battle the blaze.

The fire broke out just before 6:30 a.m. at a home in the 800 block of Crescentville Road just west of State Route 747.

Firefighters from Springdale, West Chester and Fairfield found flames in the back and front of the home.

Two people inside the home were transported to Mercy Fairfield Hospital for treatment of smoke inhalation.

The home is heavily damaged.

Fire officials are investigating the cause of the blaze.
