A Dallas firefighter is hospitalized with first- and second-degree burns on his upper body after battling a three-alarm house fire Wednesday.

The firefighter was conducting a primary search for victims when officials said he became trapped with three other crewmembers inside the single-story home on the 7300 block of Kirkham Drive.

The firefighter, who didn't want his name released, was to spend the night at Parkland Hospital as a precautionary measure and the injuries are not life-threatening.

There were no other reported injuries.

The house was destroyed by the fire and damage is estimated at $450,000.
