ARVIN, Calif. --

Three workers were removing sand from a berm early Monday when it collapsed on them. One of the workers died.

Fire crews remain on scene at Mountain View Road near Tejon Highway and have called the collapse a natural disaster of some type.

The berm is about 75-feet high on private property in that area.

One worker remains trapped Monday morning.

When crews arrived, only one person was visible.

It was first reported as a trench collapsed but fire crews found a much different and far more dangerous situation.

Well post more details as they develop.
