Ohio Firefighters Rescue Family from Blaze

Four adults and two small children were asleep inside despite smoke alarms sounding, and firefighters led all six people to safety.

CINCINNATI --

Firefighters rescued a family early Thursday from an Oakley house fire.

Crews arrived around 4:45 a.m. at the home in the 3600 block of Madison Road, where they found the front of the one-story building ablaze.

Four adults and two small children were asleep inside despite smoke alarms sounding, and firefighters led all six people to safety.

Crews extinguished the blaze within about 10 minutes, and no injuries were reported.

The fire remains under investigation, and damage was estimated at $20,000.
