Flames that broke out just before midnight destroyed a South Jersey church.

State investigators were on their way to the scene of the blaze in Salem County. No injuries were reported.

The roof of the Interdenominational Jubilee Church in Quinton collapsed during the fire.

All firefighters could really do was keep the flames from spreading to nearby homes.

"They were able to keep it contained so that nothing else but the church was on fire," said church caretaker Robert Tuthill.

The Jubilee Church was a total loss. It has been serving the community for 25 years.
