New Hampshire Firefighter Injured in Blaze
HUDSON, N.H. --
An early-morning fire destroyed a home in Hudson Monday.
Crews responded to the home on Rita Avenue just before 6 a.m. Fire officials said that when crews arrived at the scene the garage was fully involved. The fire quickly spread to the home's attic and consumed much of the residence.
Fire Chief Shawn Murphy said fighting the blaze was difficult because as soon as crews would extinguish one area, another would ignite.
Officials said no one was home when the fire broke out.
One firefighter was injured falling down a flight of stairs. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
