New Hampshire Teens Groomed For Firefighting Career

The program was created to meet a need for the teens and also to potentially help the department.

RYE - At one point or another, just about every little boy dreams of being a firefighter.

Two 17-year-old Rye teens, for whom the desire apparently never left, are getting a chance to train with members of the Rye Fire Department.

Both Bryan Collins and Lee James (LJ) Schattvet say being a professional firefighter is a career they want to pursue.

Firefighter/EMT Charles Gallant is coordinating the department
