A two-alarm fire at an Orange County, Fla., condominium Saturday left one family homeless and damaged several units, according to a Local 6 News report.
When firefighters arrived at the Whisperwood condominiums at 7465 Canford Court Saturday afternoon, fire had engulfed both levels of one condo.
The blaze was so intense as firefighters battled the flame, smoke could be seen for miles in Orange County, according to the report.
An aggressive fire attack by Orange County firefighters contained the blaze to one condo.
Neighbors said they noticed the smoke and ran to each home to make sure everyone had evacuated the structure.
"My boyfriend and some of the neighbors started knocking on the units to make sure no one was in any of the units," neighbor Erica Cherry said. "Flames were coming out of the roof and out of the windows. You could see smoke coming out from the bottom of the door."
No one was home at the time of the fire and there were no reports of injuries.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
