Des Moines Home Damaged In Fire
A Des Moines couple escapes a house fire on Friday morning.
The couple who lives at 7014 Belair Drive told fire investigators they heard a crackling in the attic and then started smelling smoke.
The couple escaped safely.
Firefighters said that damage was confined to the attic.
The cause is still under investigation.
