House Explodes in Michigan

CANTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. --

A home exploded on Waterview Court in Canton Township Tuesday morning, sending a married couple to the hospital.

Firefighters found Janice Goble and her husband, Dave, both 64 years old, in their backyard when they arrived on the scene. Both had been pulled to safety by their neighbors.

Their grandchildren had already gone to school when the home exploded at around 8 a.m.

The Gobles' condition is not yet known, but their injuries were not life-threatening, police said.

Pamela Osborne, who lives in the neighborhood, told Local 4 that her entire house shook when she woke up Tuesday.

She said that she and her mother walked outside and saw the damage.

The home was destroyed.

Police said the investigation indicates an accidental natural has leak inside the home.
