All lanes of southbound I-95 were closed near I-695 after a Tuesday afternoon crash.
Two tractor-trailers were involved in the crash, and fire department personnel responded.
Traffic was backed up for miles in the southbound lanes.
The crash was in the area of Emmorton Road (No. 77) to the I-695 beltway.
Drivers were urged to use Route 40 as an alternate route.
