MILWAUKEE --

Firefighters are on the scene of two house fires in Milwaukee.

Milwaukee police said the fires flared up around 3:30 a.m. Friday morning near 12th Street and Wright Street.

One home was vacant.

A family of five lived in the other home right next to it.

Investigators said the family has been displaced because of the fire.

Police have not said what sparked either of the fires.

They are still on the scene.
