Two Dallas firefighters were injured while battling a two-building, four-alarm house fire over the weekend.
The fire broke out Saturday night on the 100 block of South Edgefield Drive and spread to an adjacent home.
The initial home that caught fire was recently converted into eight apartments. The second home was also converted into apartments.
One firefighter was treated for smoke inhalation while the other was treated for a shoulder injury. The injuries were classified as minor and both firefighters are recovering.
No residents were injured in the fire and the American Red Cross is working with the management of the property to find housing for the displaced residents.
Fire investigators are working to determine a cause of the fire and to determine the amount of damage done to the properties.
