Florida Worker Rescued From House Roof

Victim was shocked by a power line while working on the roof of a house.

ORLANDO, Fla. --

Authorities in Orange County on Wednesday performed a high-angle rescue after a man was shocked by a power line while working on the roof of a house, according to officials.

The man was working on a house on Stetson Street near Westmoreland and Edgewater drives in College Park when he apparently touched a power line, officials said.

Sky 6 showed rescue workers placing the man on a backboard and lowering him down a ladder.

The man was transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center. His condition is not known.

Details surrounding the incident were not immediately available.
