Pennsylvania Firefighters Rescue Hearing Impaired Hunters

Four fire departments, including 30 firefighters, police and dogs helped in the search.

Four hearing impaired hunters are safe after being lost in Washington County woods overnight.

The hunters were reported missing in the woods along Log Cabin Lane in Hanover Township around 6:30 p.m. Monday.

Officials said they became disoriented at nightfall and used special phones to call 911.

One of the hunters was bleeding badly after cutting his hand while cleaning a deer.

Searchers used night vision goggles and GPS to guide rescuers to the men.

Four fire departments, including 30 firefighters, police and dogs helped in the search.

The injured hunter refused medical treatment.

All four men are said to be OK.
