Three New Orleans Buildings Burn

All were vacant.
Nov. 4, 2007

NEW ORLEANS --

A fire broke out early Saturday evening just north of the Central Business District, New Orleans officials said.

The three-alarm blaze was reported near Cleveland Avenue and North Derbigny Street at about 6 p.m.

Smoke from the fire could be seen for miles.

All three structures were vacant, and no injuries were reported.

The cause is still under investigation, but fire investigators said it wasn't the first time they were called to a fire at that location.
