CHALMETTE, La. --

A family was getting ready to move into a home in Chalmette until a two-alarm fire ravaged it Wednesday morning.

Firefighters spent three hours battling the blaze on Despaux Drive.

The flames didn't spread to the homes next door, which already had people living in them.

So far, the cause of the fire hasn't been determined.
