A firefighter was injured while battling a fire in southwest Houston on Thursday, KPRC Local 2 reported. The Houston Fire Department responded to the fire at Papagayo's Cabaret on the Southwest Freeway near Gessner Drive at about 11:30 p.m. Officials said a firefighter suffered a scalp laceration and was transported to Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital for treatment. The fire inside the cabaret caused minor damage, officials said. No other injuries were reported.
