Fire investigators said an unattended candle ignited a blaze that left a New Smyrna Beach family homeless Wednesday night.

The fire destroyed the home on Duss Street, WESH 2 News reported.

Nobody was injured in the fire, and the Red Cross is assisting the father and his two children who lived in the house.
