A 5,000 reward is being offered to help put the arsonist behind bars.
A $5,000 reward is being offered to help put a serial arsonist behind bars, according to officials. Four more fires in Johnstown and Monroe Township were declared arsons. Two of them occurred over the weekend, NBC 4's David Wayne reported. The latest cases bring the number of arsons since July to nine, Wayne reported. The fires include a vacant home on Clover Valley Road last month and a roadside fruit stand set ablaze in September, Wayne reported. "The people who have potential problems are then at risk," said Monroe Township Fire Chief Dudley Wright. "For firefighters, they don't know what's going on inside." Anyone with information about the arsons is asked to contact the state fire marshal at 800-589-2728. Stay with NBC 4 and nbc4i.com for additional information.
