Recruits from the Palomar College Fire Academy helped raise money Saturday for a fallen firefighter's family with a car wash. Capt. Mark Loutzenhiser is one of five U.S. service workers who died battling the Esperanza fire last month. Flames overtook the crew's fire engine while they were trying to protect a home. Saturday's car wash was the second one recruits have held. The recruits said giving back is just part of what they're expected to do as firefighters
