North Carolina Firefighters Pull Protestors Off Crane

Firefighters pulled four protestors off a crane at a construction site.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. --

Firefighters pulled four protestors off a crane at a construction site near the Bank of America building in Uptown Charlotte.

The four people on that crane hung a protest banner on Monday around 6:30 a.m. Firefighters brought the last person down around 8:30 a.m. There was a fifth member of the group on the ground.

Traffic Team Nine reports College Streets is closed at Trade Street. One lane of Trade Street westbound is also blocked.

Police officers said the protestors on the crane will face charges. No one was hurt during the rescue.
