New York's Bravest Save Three From Nearby Blaze

Firefighters could smell smoke from the station house and found the nearby home engulfed in flames.

Sharp senses and quick thinking by some New York firefighters helped save the lives of three people in Queens, NewsChannel 4 reported.

Fire broke out at a multi-family home on 88th Avenue in Jamaica, just about a block away from Engine Company 298. Firefighters could smell smoke from the station house and found the nearby home engulfed in flames.

Crews rescued three victims, two of whom were unconscious.

The victims are being treated at Mary Immaculate Hospital and are expected to recover.
