Fire destroyed two dozen units at an apartment complex in Universal City overnight.

Firefighters arrived at the Palisades Park Apartments at 165 Palisades at 1 a.m. and found flames shooting through the roof of the complex.

Residents stood out in the cold as firefighters battled the blaze, which some residents said started in a laundry room.

No one was injured, although at least one cat was reported to have died.

For at least one resident, starting over won't be something new. Jetina Wiggins was living in the complex after she lost her home and belongings to Hurricane Katrina.

"I've survived the water, survived the fire," she said.

An estimated damage was not immediately available.
