Over Three Dozen Georgia Firefighters Handle Fire

At least eight families were displaced from their homes when a three-alarm fire swept through a Clayton County apartment complex Sunday night.

No injuries were reported during the blaze at the Hunters Bay apartments, located on Johnson Road near Morrow Road. Over three dozen firefighters battled the fire, which broke out shortly after 8 p.m.

Officials said fighting the blaze was difficult because it spread among a common attic area shared by all of the apartments.

The cause of the blaze was under investigation.
