Fire crews are keeping an eye on a blaze that burned a Boulder County home to the ground.

A woman returned to her home in the 800 block of Gold Run Road about 10 p.m. Sunday and found it engulfed in flames.

No one was hurt, but firefighters said the home was a total loss.

There was some concern that the fire would spread to the forest, but firefighters prevented that from happening.

The blaze was battled by the Gold Run Volunteer Fire Department.

The cause of the fire has not been determined, but investigators will begin examining the debris Monday morning.
