One local group continues the push for change in personnel at the top of Jacksonville Fire and Rescue.
Flyer printed by the Brotherhood of Firefighters.
The Brotherhood of Firefighters has followed up on a TV commercial they made, which hit airwaves in September, with a flyer.
A cartoon image of a black firefighter carrying a girl away from flames and reassuring her that everything will be OK is on the front of the flyer.
On the back of the flyer, the same black firefighter is seen reacting to a noose on his gear with the words, "Is this the thanks I get?"
The group has been pressuring Mayor John Peyton to follow the recommendation of the Human Rights Commission by firing top officials within Jacksonville Fire and Rescue.
In the past, the mayor has said no personnel changes need to be made.
