Tanning Lamp Blamed For Massive Florida Apt. Fire
An apartment tenant's new tanning lamp is being blamed for sparking a two-alarm fire that engulfed a portion of an Orange County, Fla., apartment complex Monday night, according to Local 6 News.
Firefighters responded to flames at the Fountains at Lee Vista located off Semoran Blvd., Monday night.

Officials told Local 6 News that a man apparently left his tanning lamp on and it began to burn some of his clothes. When he tried to put out the flames, he caught himself on fire.
The fire quickly spread through the man's apartment and then through the complex.
Sky 6 videotaped flames engulfing the roof and most of the building at 5 p.m.
The man who caught himself on fire was treated for burns at the scene. There were no other injuries in connection with the fire.
Flames destroyed at least four apartment units and damaged others.
