BUFFALO, S.C. --
Fire destroyed a Union County church late Sunday night.
Firefighters were still at St. Luke Baptist Church on Lukesville Road in the Buffalo community on Monday morning, putting out hot spots remaining from the blaze.
The first calls came in just before 11 p.m. Sunday night and crews from six different departments responded to put out the fire.
It took about two hours for firefighters to get most of the flames under control.
No injuries have been reported.
As is routine in fires at churches in South Carolina, investigators from the State Law Enforcement Division will comb through the wreckage beginning today.
