Arsonists Strike Detroit Church Twice

The probe continues.

DETROIT --

An arsonist struck Saint Rachels Mission at the corner of Warren Avenue and Rosa Parks Boulevard on Detroits west side twice in a 24-hour period, firefighters said.

Firefighters were called to battle a blaze at the vacant church on Wednesday morning.

Fire officials said they had to return to the church around 9 p.m. Wednesday to extinguish another blaze.

No injuries were reported in either blaze.

Fire officials said they believe the fires were started by an arsonist and they will continue to investigate.
