An off-duty Fishers firefighter was arrested Tuesday afternoon on accusations that he pointed a loaded gun at a motorist after a traffic incident, Carmel police said.

Police said Christopher M. Reily, 33, of Cicero, allegedly pointed a pistol at a driver near 12774 Old Meridian St. Authorities said the two had been involved in what police called a "traffic altercation" near 103rd Street and U.S. 31.

Details about the traffic incident weren't released. No injuries were reported.

Police confiscated two handguns from Reily and arrested him on a felony charge of displaying a loaded firearm. Authorities said Reily had a permit to carry the guns.
