Ohio Firefighter Struck Battling Blaze

Authorities said a firefighter was injured overnight as he was preparing to put out a house fire.

CHRISTIANSBURG, Ohio --

Authorities said a firefighter was injured overnight as he was preparing to put out a house fire.

Firefighters in Christiansburg were called to a house on Route 235 around 11 p.m. Monday. While they were setting up a water line to put the fire out, one of the firefighters was hit by a passing car.

The firefighter was taken to Mercy Hospital in Springfield with non-life-threatening injuries. Troopers are looking for the driver of the car.

Firefighters said the fire started in a dryer in the house.
