Four Injured in Pennsylvania Plant Explosion

Firefighters were able to get the blaze under control quickly.

NESHANNOCK TOWNSHIP, Pa. --

Firefighters said four people were injured in a small plant fire and explosion in the New Castle area on Wednesday.

The fire happened at International Specialty Alloys, which produces alloys used in the aerospace and computer industries.

The plant is located off Route 60 in the Northgate Industrial Park in Neshannock Township, Lawrence County.

Firefighters were able to get the blaze under control quickly.

Three people were taken to a local hospital. Their injuries are unknown at this time.

One person was flown to Mercy Hospital. Their condition is not known.

There is no word on what started the fire.
