Six-Alarmer Guts New Hampshire Business

Aug. 7, 2006
Firefighters prevented the blaze from spreading to nearby businesses.

A fire at a business in Hudson sent flames 50 feet into the air.

It started around 3 a.m. on West Road at the American Pallet Company, where wooden pallets are chopped and turned into mulch.

The fire went to six alarms and more than 100 firefighters responded.

It took nearly six hours to get the fire under control and another hour and half to put it out.

Pallets stacked on the ground burned to a crisp and the tires on a tractor trailer melted.

Firefighters managed to keep it from spreading to nearby businesses.
