Traffic officials continue to investigate a wreck that claimed the life of a 73-year-old woman.
A fire truck hit the woman's car at about 2:15 p.m. at the intersection of Dixie Highway and Michael Lane.
The woman was airlifted to University Hospital, where she was pronounced dead at 5 p.m. Her name has not been released.
The ladder truck was responding to a fire when it hit the woman's car, which then hit two other vehicles.
One person from another vehicle was taken to Mercy Fairfield Hospital for treatment.
Officials said their investigation should be completed in about a week.
