A building in a Northeast Philadelphia apartment complex went up into flames Wednesday afternoon and 120 firefighters were trying to douse it, fire officials said.

One firefighter suffered injuries, but his condition was not immediately available. The fire was placed under in about 70 minutes.

Authorities said the fire started at Beachwood Gardens Apartments at about 12:30 p.m. The complex is located on the 9800 block of Haldeman Avenue.

It was not immediately clear how many people live in the three-story building, but officials said temporary shelter was set up at Anne Frank School, located at Clark and Bowler streets.
